WEEK 50: Landscape: Symmetrical – Often considered one of the hardest compositions to pull off, Symmetry. Challenge yourself this week by shooting a symmetrical landscape/urbanscape.
I used this evening’s trip to Longwood Gardens to see the light display to my advantage here. The Italian Garden afforded a great opportunity to use formal garden symmetry to fulfill this landscape requirement, with an added twist of being a night shot too.

Lovely. I used to live in Delaware County and went to Longwood Gardens frequently. Never at night, though, so I especially enjoyed this photo.

Thank you, Clarissa. We are very fortunate to live only 25 minutes away so we go there quite often. It’s an amazing place during every season. The refurbished fountains should be back in operation in the Spring after a long repair job and I cannot wait to see how they have restored that part of the gardens.
